Indoor navigation showcased at Universities Australia Conference

The Liveli team and MapsPeople teams joined forces for this year's Universities Australia Conference. Together, the team demonstrated to conference attendees how location intelligence can enhance the digital student experience.

The conference took place at the National Convention Centre in Canberra on the 26th and 27th February 2020. The forum is the leading event on the Australian higher education calendar - delivered by the sector, for the sector.

Alexis Phillips and Jaimee Nobbs from the Liveli team, along with MapsPeople’s representative Christian Müggler, shared examples of how navigation through a University campus, which can sometimes be a frustrating experience for both staff and students, can be easily simplified through the use of location technology.

Improved wayfinding solutions in Universities can help solve the following challenges:
  • How students navigate their way in and around campus buildings
  • Enabling students to quickly find security and medical services
  • Utilising campus facilities more efficiently
